If you are an event winner at any of the rodeos, you may choose to receive a buckle for winning the event or a check. It is your responsibility to let Erin Mills know if you do not want the buckle by the Monday immediately following the rodeo. Per CJRA board, if you choose to receive a check instead of a buckle, the check will be available for pick up at the following CJRA rodeo, just like the buckles are. You will need to pick up your check from the rodeo secretary prior to the start of the rodeo. The only exception to the procedure will be after the May rodeo. Event winner checks from the May rodeo will be mailed out to those who select to receive a check after all points have been approved and all monies have cleared the bank. Approximately 21 days following the rodeo.
The California Junior Rodeo Association (CJRA) was founded in 1968 and continues to thrive over 50 years later. Our mission is to provide high quality rodeos and promote an environment where good sportsmanship are the core values to a healthy competitive event for our young cowboys and cowgirls. Contestants are encouraged to support each other and often build lasting friendships
